What is CBD?

There are a lot of assumptions surrounding CBD and most of these assumptions are totally false. So let me start by saying this, CBD does not get you high. It may be buzzy in the world of health and beauty, but it won't actually get you buzzed. According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD."

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the two naturally-occurring chemical compounds found in cannabis plants, the other being THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the compound that causes the ‘high’ people associate cannabis with. The cannabis plant has two main species: marijuana and hemp. CBD is found in both plants but most CBD products, such as ours, are derived from hemp plants because they contain higher concentrations of CBD and less than 0.3% of THC, whereas marijuana contains less CBD and higher concentrations of THC.
